Who I Am

My name is Cody. While I’ve built a career as a Fitness Entrepreneur, at my core I’ve always been a coach — and after more than 13 years in this field, I still coach people every single day. That’s not just my profession; it’s who I am.
I’m a credentialed Sports Nutritionist and Personal Trainer, with multiple certifications in both nutrition and strength training. This background gives me the ability to approach coaching from both a scientific and practical perspective.
But before the titles and certifications, I’m first a father, a husband, and a man of faith. Even my name carries meaning that resonates with my purpose — “Cody” translates to “The Helper” in Gaelic, reflecting my Scottish-Irish roots and aligning with the mission I live by: to serve others.
At the deepest level, that’s who I am — a helper. My goal is to create impact, bring value, and make a difference in people’s lives every single day.

My Fitness Transformation Journey

My passion for fitness started with my own transformation, where I lost nearly 50 pounds of body fat and completely changed my lifestyle.
Growing up, I was overweight — heavier than most of my friends, and always self-conscious about it. Eventually, I reached the point where I was tired of feeling unhappy with myself, and I made the decision to change.
That decision transformed everything. Improving my physical health became the catalyst for growth in every other area of life. My mental health improved, my confidence grew, my relationships strengthened, and new opportunities opened up. Fitness wasn’t just about my body — it was about raising the standard for how I lived my life.
This transformation gave me purpose: I knew I wanted to help others experience the same kind of breakthrough. That’s when coaching became more than a career path — it became my life’s mission.

Walking the Walk: Living What I Teach

I believe that as a coach, I have the responsibility to “walk the walk.” Looking fit doesn’t automatically make someone a great coach — but practicing what I preach shows my clients that I believe in what I teach, and that I can be trusted to guide them.
For me, this means continuing to challenge myself and step outside my comfort zone:

I’m not a professional athlete. I wasn’t born with exceptional genetics. What I do have is the discipline to keep Choosing Hard™ — pushing past average, and building an above-average life.
