My name is Cody, but most people call me Boom-Boom.
Socrates the Philosopher once said,
“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”
The reason I share that, is because that shit stuck with me.
I remember being in history class way back and reading that, then taking a look at myself and realizing I was living in my body the wrong way and it was causing me so much pain, not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well.
Let me back track a little bit, so you can fully get where I’m coming from…
Long story short – I grew up overweight. Eventually I got sick and tired of hating the way I looked and felt every day, so I decided to change it all and live my life at a higher standard. I realized very quickly, that having true power in life starts with your body.
Because as I trained and completely transformed my body, I began to experience less stress and anxiety, I began to have an unbelievably higher amount of confidence everywhere I went, my energy began to become contagious, I made a hell of a lot more money, and I started to catch women’s attention – which was something new to me.
All this, led to an unbelievably big shift in my life.
See when it comes to training and nutrition, I’ve tried it all. Paleo, bodybuilding, crossfit, slow cardio, high intensity cardio, low carb, and the list goes on… I’ve tried it all, I’ve studied it all, and I’ve accepted it all as a part of the puzzle to optimizing your body – they all have a part in this, just depends on the individual and the goal(s) at hand.
But what really fascinated me, was the mindset aspect of it all.
How changing one’s thought process, implementing specific daily and weekly practices (I call mine SHIFT 6), and shifting the atmosphere and environments we surround ourselves with can literally change it all…
This is exactly how I went from being fat and avoiding the mirror, to being lean and finding an excuse to take off my shirt with confidence without looking like a complete tool. It wasn’t any of the diets, it wasn’t any specific training program… It was the way my mind shifted.
And do to that shift, I was able to stick to a smart training program and a sustainable nutrition plan.
And what I do now, is show other men (just like you) exactly how to make that shift and find the result I did.
